Indian scholars trapped in tuition centre blaze

A minimum of 20 other people have died in a fireplace that ripped thru a construction housing a tuition centre in western India.

Younger scholars fell or jumped as they attempted to flee flames engulfing the highest flooring of the construction within the town of Surat, in Gujarat state.

Police say they’ve charged 3 other people over the fireplace and town government have pledged a complete inquiry.
